New photos at last!

At last I have been able to get back onto Flickr and I have put a few new photos on.  I will put some more on over the weekend – I forgot to put them all onto my memory stick from the school computer!  Hopefully we will now be having new photos every week.  Sorry for the wait – but good photos are worth waiting for.  Remember to click on the ‘Flickr’ link in the right hand menu.  Mrs Langford

World Book Day

Firstly we would like to thank all parents for the effort you made helping your children to dress up and participate in World Book Day on Friday.  The children all looked fantastic!  We had a really great day talking about our favourite characters and reading stories.  We also took part in a ‘draw your favourite character’ competition which is going to be drawn …?  We don’t know but as soon as we do, we’ll let you know!  We took photos of the children individually and they are currently on display in the language area of the classroom.  I haven’t put them on Flickr because basically there are just too many!  When we take the display down we will give them to the children to take home.  Many thanks again for your support and effort.  See you at school, Mrs Langford.

A possible solution!

To all . . . .   you may be wondering why we have not posted any information or photos lately.  Well, we are still having problems with our cameras,  but most importantly we now only have a limited amount of space to use on this site use each year – 20MB - I’d already used 28! – so we can’t add any more photos this year – without deleting old ones which seems sad.   We could pay for extra space but it still only gives 100 MB per year.  So, I have been investigating ways around this and I’ve decided what to do.  I will now just put ‘write ups’ on this page and any relevant photos will be put on the Flickr website which allows lots of free space.  The link to this is under the ‘BLOGROLL’ section in the right hand side menu.  Once you’ve looked at the photos on Flickr just ‘back arrow’ and it will bring you back to the South Parade site – hope this works and that we’re back in business.  Fingers crossed . . . .  Mrs Langford.

Catching up on our ‘Stars of the weeks’!

Sorry it’s been a while since we’ve put anything on, but our cameras have been awaiting new batteries!!  Now that they’ve been delivered we are back in business!

Here are some photos of the previous stars of the week that we missed when the cameras were out of action:

In this week the boys swept the board!  Well done to Lennon, Matthew, Ryan and Joe.  We are actually only supposed to have one star from each group but on this week we had two because everyone had worked so hard we ended up with some of the children on the same amount of stars!

The week after that the girls hit back and our stars of the week were Ocean -Rose and Mia – well done girls!  Mia actually won by getting 3 stars more than anyone else – fabulous work Mia!

And so to this week – our stars this week are James and Porscha and here they are looking proud- they’d just received their badges, certificates and prizes so they were very pleased!  Keep up the good work you two!

We won, we won, we won!!!

On Monday Poppies and Blue group won the Headteacher’s trophy.  This means that we won the most golden tickets in the whole of Reception and Key Stage 1 classes.  We get golden tickets from Mrs Holmes, Mrs Harrison, Mrs Jeffrey, Mr Lenthall and Mr Jessup when they see us showing fantastic behaviour around school.  In assembly Mrs Holmes said that she was very proud of us because we are the youngest children in the school to win.  Here’s a photo of Millie and Megan holding the trophy and certificate that we got – sorry but we’d already eaten the giant chocolate buttons that we also get when we win !!
